About
TracePlate is a software platform that allows MEP engineers, custodians, and facilities personnel to quickly conduct fieldwork.
This is achieved by using phone cameras to simultaneously take videos and photos of equipment of interest. OCR is used to obtain equipment details such as panel nameplate, details, safety labels and is saved as a text file along with associated pictures and video of equipment. Field work is organized in projects > Building > Floor and stored on the cloud. All field work is then accessible via browser download.
Problems
• Conducting fieldwork in many professions can be tedious and disorganized. This can lead to incomplete work, multiple return visits by various team members, and complexity in gathering all data in one place.
